Distinguished officials of the Bulgarian government,

First of all, congratulations to Bulgaria on winning the right to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, and to Burgas on being selected as the host city. We wish BNT and Bulgaria every success in preparing for what we believe will be a very special Eurovision.

As Türkiye’s largest Eurovision platform, established in 2011, we would like to reach out regarding Türkiye’s potential participation in Eurovision 2027.

As you know, Türkiye has not participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2012. Nevertheless, the contest continues to attract significant interest among the Turkish public. Despite Türkiye’s absence from the competition, Eurovision is still closely followed by Turkish viewers and fans.

With this in mind, we would like to ask the following questions:

-Have there been any discussions between BNT, the Bulgarian government and/or the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) regarding Türkiye’s possible participation in Eurovision 2027?

-Has the Bulgarian government had any contact with TRT or Turkish officials regarding Türkiye’s return to the contest?

-Are any meetings or discussions with Turkish officials or TRT planned in the coming months?

-Does Bulgaria have any plans to encourage or facilitate Türkiye’s participation in Eurovision 2027?

Although Türkiye is currently not participating in the contest, we believe that many Turkish Eurovision fans will travel to Bulgaria for Eurovision 2027. We therefore strongly support the announced Burgas–Istanbul corridor and believe that this connection between the two cities could make Eurovision 2027 more accessible not only for Turkish fans, but for Eurovision fans from around the world.

We would greatly appreciate any information you can share regarding possible discussions with Türkiye and the country’s potential participation in Eurovision 2027.
